The Foreign Affairs, Defence, and National Security Committee of the Shura Council, chaired by Dr. Ali Al Rumaihi, has emphasised the crucial role of enhancing economic and security collaboration among the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) nations.
This emphasis aligns with the 43rd anniversary of the GCC’s founding, highlighting the organisation’s significant contributions to regional stability, prosperity, and development.
The committee paid tribute to the historic initiative begun by the GCC’s founding leaders, whose vision has shaped the group since its inception in 1981.
The GCC has grown into a significant regional body, advocating collective measures for progress, and prosperity.
It has been a key pillar for the unity, stability, and sovereignty of the Gulf states, safeguarding the accomplishments of their citizens.
