Bahrain marks World Cultural Diversity Day

The Kingdom of Bahrain joined other nations in marking the World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development, which fell on Thursday.
The UNESCO day provides all countries in the world an opportunity to deepen their understanding of the values of cultural diversity and to learn to live together better.
The National Committee for Education, Science and Culture in Bahrain hosted a function on this occasion as part of preparations for the final ceremony for schools affiliated with UNESCO, which will be held on May 27 under the theme "Our Diversity brings us Together".
The National Committee for Education, Science and Culture Secretary-General Lobna Khalifa Suleibikh stressed the importance of the annual anniversary in promoting the concept of cultural diversity and enhancing people’s awareness of the importance of living together.
