Dr. Ibrahim Yousef, Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Livestock at the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Agriculture, confirmed that the Mara’ee show will be launched throughout the country as one of the most prominent international exhibitions specialising in the field of animal and agricultural production.

He added that the event strengthens the position of the Kingdom of Bahrain and its role in enhancing food security, as it has become an investment, scientific, and entertainment event and a forum for researchers and exhibitors.

Dr. Yousef said that the idea for this year’s shows stems from Bahraini heritage, which reflects the depth of Bahraini civilization and history.

He pointed out that about 90 exhibitors will participate in the livestock, sheep, and goats section, during which breeds specialised in milk and meat production will be displayed, while in the field of birds, approximately 1,000 participants will participate in various types of birds in general, including ornamental birds, parrots, birds of prey, rare birds, and other types.

Dr. Ibrahim Youssef stressed that the exhibition is an important platform for exhibitors and livestock and bird traders to sell their products and livestock and conclude deals.

It also contributes to marketing and enhances the exchange of experiences between exhibitors and producers.

He also mentioned that the exhibition will include a number of different shows and events, in addition to a group of competitions and prizes where the winners of various types of competitions related to animals and birds will be honoured.

He pointed out that the Mara’ee show, in its sixth edition, focuses more on local production and local companies for animal and agricultural production.
