Alpha Fire beat Niazi CC in T20 Tournament
Alpha Fire Safety defeated Niazi CC by 21 runs in the latest matches of the Sprite BCL-CBA Premier League T20 Tournament at the Busaiteen Grounds in Muharraq.
Batting first, Alpha Fire scored 180 for eight in 20 overs thanks to a fine knock by Sameer (84,) with good support from Zeeshan (25) with Iqbal (two for 38) the best of the bowlers.
Niazi in reply, scored 159 for seven with the main scorers being Omer (61) and Junaid (30) with Zeeshan (three for 27) completing a fine all round performance.
In another match, SOHA BOC were 51-run winners against Central Café after scoring 184 for six in 20 overs with the main scorers being Obaid (77) and Waleed (33) and Suraj (two for 36) the best of the bowlers. Central Café were then dismissed for just 133 with Ganesh (33) top scoring as Jamal (five for 16) ripped through the batting.
