Last month was Bahrain's fourth warmest November since 1902

The Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications’ Meteorological Directorate reported in their monthly weather summary that the month of November goes on record as the fourth warmest November ever experienced in Bahrain since 1902.

The mean temperature of the month was 25.8°C, which is 1.2°C above the long-term normal for November, and this goes on record as the fourth-highest mean temperature for November since 1902. 

Note that the highest mean monthly temperature for November was 26.2°C recorded in 2020.

The mean maximum temperature of the month was 29.0°C that is 1.0°C above the long-term normal and this goes on record as the eighth-highest mean maximum temperature for November since 1946. 

Note that the highest mean monthly maximum temperature for November was 29.9°C recorded in 2004.

During the month, Bahrain had 11 days with a maximum temperature exceeding 30°C. 

The highest temperature recorded during the month was 32.8°C that occurred on November 3 at Bahrain International Airport. Note that the highest temperature recorded for October at Bahrain International Airport (BIA) was 37.2°C that occurred on November 1, 1999.

The highest temperature recorded in November was at Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) that was 35.1°C on November 2 and at Durrat Al Bahrain that was 34.5°C on November 1.

The mean minimum temperature of the month was 23.1°C that is 1.5°C above the long-term normal and this goes on record as the fourth-highest mean minimum temperature for November since 1946. 

Note that the highest mean monthly minimum temperature for November was 23.4°C recorded in 2017.

The lowest temperature recorded was 20.4°C on November 29 at BIA but recorded 17.3°C on November 30 at Durrat Al Bahrain.

The mean relative humidity for November was 61% whereas the mean maximum relative humidity was 77% and the mean minimum relative humidity was 41%. The maximum relative humidity was 92% recorded on November 27 and the minimum relative humidity was 20% recorded on November 7.

Only trace amounts of precipitation were recorded on November 20 at BIA. 

Note that the long-term mean total precipitation for November is 16.8 mm and the highest monthly rainfall recorded during November at BIA was 146.8 mm that occurred in 1940.

The total precipitation for November at King Fahad Causeway was 0.2 mm recorded on November 20.

November was the sunniest November since the sunshine records began in 1968. 

The total hours of sunshine for the month was 290.3 hours. The old record was 290.2 hours that was recorded in November 1998.

The Mean wind speed for November was 8 knots. The prevailing wind was 41% from the Northwest direction. Gusty winds reached 26 knots on November 28-29 at BIA and 26 knots on November 24 at King Fahad Causeway. The Easterly to Southeasterly winds accounted for 18% of the observation.
