ROC’s Archbishop hails Bahrain’s fraternity

The Jerusalem-based Patriarch of the Sebaste Romanian-Orthodox Church (ROC), Archbishop Atallah Hanna, has expressed his gratitude to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Government and people of Bahrain for their supportive stance towards the Palestinian people.

He saluted His Majesty King Hamad for Bahrain’s supportive stances towards the Palestinian cause.

The Archbishop said Bahrain has always supported the Palestinian people, especially the issue of Jerusalem, as well as the Palestinian struggle to break away from the shackles of colonialism.

During a reception hosted by the Palestinian Ambassador, Taha Abdulqader, Archbishop Attallah said his current visit was not the first of its kind.

He said he had been invited by HM the King to the Kingdom in 2002 to see the peaceful coexistence among all community components.

He said during his first visit, he had the honour of meeting King Hamad, Prime Minister HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa.

He also participated in several conferences and seminars hosted in Bahrain, hailing the Kingdom’s peaceful coexistence, fraternity and amity amongst its people.

Archbishop Attallah also visited the Bahrain National Museum as part of the visit.
