A 37-year-old Asian man has been put on trial after faking a medical report that was required from him to transfer his work permit to another employer.

According to court files, the defendant was all set to complete his transfer, pending the outcome of the medical report, and the result shuttered his chances as it appeared that he had hepatitis. The doctor informed him, and requested to re-do the test in order to confirm the result.

However, the defendant tried to turn it around, requesting his friend, who looked almost like him, to undergo the test. His plan went as he wished as his friend did the test and the result showed he was healthy.

The hospital stunned the defendant when he went to collect the result by the request that he had to re-do the test for the third time, as per the doctor’s request. Shocked, the man refused under the pretext that he was fasting.

He immediately left the hospital, and called his friend, urging him to go to the hospital as they wanted to repeat the test. “I went there, and the cops were waiting for me,” the Asian man’s friend told prosecutors. He was also charged in connection with this case.
