Motorists can struggle to find a parking space or even get through the entrances of Roundabout 10 Market during busy periods, prompting a Northern Municipal Council call for a site review.

Council member Abdullah Al Thawadi has proposed a field visit to the market in Block 1208, Hamad Town, to assess congestion and consider changes to its entrance and parking layout.

He said vehicles regularly pile up around the entrances and parking areas during peak hours, with some motorists failing to give way and further blocking traffic flow.

Shoppers also face difficulties reaching shops and finding suitable parking.

The proposed review will look at reorganising parking spaces, modifying the market entrance and improving entry and exit points to ease congestion and improve access.

The recommendation has been referred to the Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture.
