HRH Prince Salman hails Bahrain citizens and residents on GP success

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister lauded the keenness of the citizens and residents who attended the race to ensure the success of the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix 2021 through their commitment to mandatory precautionary measures and instructions.

HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister praised His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s royal directives since the outbreak of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, which allowed Bahrain to excel in managing this health crisis and succeed in hosting the race.

This success, HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister said, will further consolidate Bahrain International (BIC) standing and bolster the Kingdom’s status on the map of global races and reflect citizens’ edge in organising Formula 1 races.

HRH Prince Salman paid tribute to HM the King, pledging to spare no effort to continue dedicated work towards achieving royal visions and aspirations, supported by HM the King’s directives to fulfil wide-ranging development goals and achieve further successes in hosting international mega-events He wished HM the King good health and wellness and Bahrain and its loyal people with further progress and prosperity.

Praise for Team Bahrain

HRH Prince Salman visited the BIC to meet the teams and spectators before the start of the Grand Prix.

During the visit, His Royal Highness praised Team Bahrain’s effort in ensuring this year’s international race provides a thrilling spectacle whilst adhering to all important health and precautionary measures, given the unique challenges presented by coronavirus.

His Royal Highness noted the Kingdom’s success as a global destination for hosting major international sporting events, with experience in organising and hosting Formula 1 races since 2004, strengthening BIC’s place within the F1 calendar.

HRH Prince Salman added that success in hosting the Formula 1 races is motivation towards further achievements and supporting the Kingdom’s comprehensive development, led by His Majesty King Hamad.

His Royal Highness concluded by expressing his gratitude to the dedicated staff, including organisers, medical staff and military and security support personnel from across various government agencies, who have once again ensured Bahrain continues to be the home of motorsport in the Middle East.
