Four Bahrainis die from COVID

Four Bahrainis succumbed to the coronavirus (COVID-19) yesterday, bringing the virus-related death toll in the Kingdom to 347. The deceased included three male citizens aged 60, 66 and 89, along with an 81-year-old woman.

Following 10,064 tests, there were 201 new cases. The fresh infections included 101 expatriate workers and 77 from contacts of active cases, while 14 were travel-related. The new cases brought the overall number of confirmed registered cases in Bahrain to 88,495 dating back to when the first case was reported in February.

There were 171 new recoveries, raising the number of survivors to 86,518. A total of 17 are receiving treatment with six critical and 1,624 in stable conditions. The total tests done in Bahrain increased to 2,149,366. The Ministry has expressed its condolences to the families of the deceased.
