Foreign Affairs Minister Dr Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani hailed the decision issued by the Saudi Cabinet to hold discussions with the Kingdom of Bahrain to raise the level of chairmanship of the Coordination Council to the crown princes of the two countries.

The Foreign Minister considered it an important step in promoting and further developing brotherly relations, bilateral co-operation and joint co-ordination efforts for the benefit of the two friendly countries and peoples.

He affirmed that the strong ties between the two countries are based on kinship, sincerity, gratitude and mutual respect, in addition to common history, which extends for years of co-operation, solidarity, full support and unity.

He also added that the solid historical relations between the two countries are paid great attention from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and his brother the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, who are complementing the solid foundations laid by their ancestors to consolidate brotherhood and mutual love relations, and the rules of co-operation, complementarity and interdependence.

The Minister emphasised that the Saudi Cabinet’s decision will reflect the course of brotherly relations and co-operation between the two countries.
