Bahrain keen to set hands on the latest iPhone
Manama
The Bahraini electronic market is eagerly waiting for iPhone 6S and 6S Plus, though the date of availability of the product has been not been finalised.
Sources from a leading electronic showroom in Bahrain said they have started receiving a number of calls enquiring about the availability of the latest product from Apple.
Many customers have also approached them to pre-order the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus well in advance, the source said.
“But we still have no information when it will be available in Bahrain,” one of the sources added.
According to IT professional Deepak, iPhone 6S is an excellent choice for advanced smartphone lovers, looking for something new. “The ‘3D Touch’ technology, also known as the next generation of Multi-Touch, is really amazing. New gestures called ‘Peek’ and ‘Pop’ take you directly to the features in apps that you use most. Peek would preview the information, while Pop would take you into it. This feature has already caught the attention of iPhone lovers,” he said.
The phone’s camera is another highlight, according to Deepak. He said the 12-megapixel iSight camera is an upgrade to the 8-megapixel snapper in the standard iPhone 6. It also comes with the ability to shoot high-quality 4K videos, and is expected to give better quality images and videos, he added.
While many of the advanced smartphones starts to hang after a sometime, IPhones are known for its longevity. Adding on it this, IPhone also allows its users to upgrade its Operating system up to four times.
The latest two models will come with the Apple A9 chipset, with the M9 co-processor embedded into it, offering a 70 per cent increase in speed.
“All these features make it very tempting to set our hands on,” Deepak said.
But banker and social media activist Mohammed K. Al-Biateej has a different opinion about the product. He feels the latest upgrades on iPhone 6S are not very dramatic.
He is also not ready to believe that the 3D technology of iPhone 6S is a revolutionary one. He pointed out that Samsung had something similar with its Air View feature.
