Woman power: Dana Al Binghadeer Al Dossary rides into history

HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Olympic Committee and Captain of Bahrain Royal Endurance Team congratulated the Kingdom’s leadership on the historic achievement of Bahraini woman rider Dana Al Binghadeer Al Dossary (pictured).

She made history entering the World Elite Club as the first female Arab rider to attain such an international accomplishment in equestrian sports, in addition to qualifying for the World Youth Endurance Championship in Chile, after recently winning fourth place in the Virton Endurance Championship in Belgium.

Shaikh Nasser said the latest achievement came as a result of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s support to Bahraini equestrian sports and riders, and providing them with the appropriate environment to grow and excel.

He said Al Dossary’s achievement adds to the various accomplishments of Bahraini equestrian and endurance sports during the previous years and the team will spare no efforts in preparing her for the upcoming championships and promoting the reputation of Bahraini sports regionally and internationally.
