First Gulf Pharma-Medical meet begins today
The two-day event, which begins from today at ART Rotana Hotel here, will be held under the theme “Making a Difference in Infectious Diseases.”
The conference is being held under the auspices of Supreme Health Council (SHC) Chairman Lieutenant-General Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdulla Al Khalifa.
Health Ministry Internal Medical department Chief Dr. Jameela Al Salman, also head of the scientific committee, said key medical issues, especially antibiotic-resistant bacteria, would be addressed in the conference.
Speaking on the activities of the event, Bahrain Pharmacists Society, head of the conference organising committee Yasser Sakhir said, “More than 20 keynote speakers will address the participants and as many as 30 research papers will be presented during the two-day conference, which also features workshops and round-table discussions.”
