Shaikh Khalid in Jakarta to preside over Brave 12

Manama : Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and the President of Bahrain Athletics Association, has arrived in Jakarta, Indonesia to preside Brave 12: KHK Legacy which is hosted on 11th May at Balai Sarbini Hall in Jakarta, Indonesia.

The event marks the first time Brave Combat Federation is hosted in South East Asia and this marks the first time a member from the royal family from the Kingdom of Bahrain is visiting Indonesia. The event has far reaching implications for both nations in the fields of trade, cultural exchange and sports.

Brave Combat Federation is one among the top global Mixed Martial Arts promotions in the world. Brave Combat Federation has hosted events in Bahrain, United Arab Emirates, Brazil, India, Kazakhstan, Mexico and Jordan. Brave Combat Federation has announced it will be hosting the upcoming edition in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

In the fight card featured for Jakarta, athletes from 15 nations will be represented including United States of America, United Kingdom, Russia, Netherlands, Algeria, Jordan, Poland, Indonesia, Malaysia, Bahrain, Germany, Brazil, New Zealand, Australia and Philippines. The event is set to be a major International event for Jakarta before the 2018 Asian Games which will be hosted later this year.

The event is also important due to the growing economic and diplomatic relations between the two nations. The event will bring global businessmen, celebrities, athletes and media from around the world to Jakarta, Indonesia. “We are glad to be here in the Republic of Indonesia, which has good  relations with the Kingdom of Bahrain. Indonesia is an important destination of the Brave Combat Federation, this will enhance the growing relations between the two nations.

Holding the Bahraini global initiative of Brave Combat Federation in Indonesia will support the shared cooperation and will enhance the relations between the two nations in the field of sports. This will also give regional athletes an opportunity to compete in the international level,” said Shaikh Khalid.
