Council to discuss NAC rights principles
Manama : The Council of Representatives will hold a panel discussion to shed light on the role played by government sides in activating the human rights foundations enshrined in the National Action Charter (NAC).
Chairman of the Human Rights Committee at the Council of Representatives, MP Abdulrahman Bu Majeed, said that the panel session, to be held under the patronage of Speaker, Ahmed bin Ibrahim Al-Mulla, is in line with the Speaker’s interest to consolidate human rights principles and activate the recommendations of the NAC Conference.
MP Bu Majeed added that representatives of the government and human rights personalities, in addition to MPs, will take part in the panel session.
