Human trafficking forum held
Manama : The Ministry of Interior held a forum on the national system for the referral of human trafficking victims.
Public Security Chief Major General Tarek bin Hassan Al-Hassan deputized Deputy Inspector-General Major-General Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al-Khalifa to open the forum which was attended by 250 officers.
The Royal Academy of Police (RAP) Security Research Centre organised the symposium which focused on three main topics.
Public Prosecution Advocate Dr. Ali Al-Showeikh started the forum, shedding light on the concept of human trafficking.
Overseas expatriate Workers’ Rights Protection Acting chief Sherin Al-Saati focused the national system for the referral of human trafficking victims.
Media department officer First Lieutenant Lulwa Ibrahim Al-Hadi addressed the forum on the role of the Department on Combating Human Trafficking.
