MMA: Bahrain’s contributions towards women highlighted

ManamaInternational Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF) has highlighted the contribution by His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa and the Kingdom of Bahrain at the instance of celebration International Womens Day. 

2017 Brave International Combat Week witnessed the participation of the first female competitors from the Kingdom of Bahrain at the IMMAF World Championship of Amateur MMA. 

Bahrain’s Fatema Bureshaid and Hend Rezk became the first female athletes to represent the nation. 

Kingdom of Bahrain is set as the venue for Brave International Combat Week featuring IMMAF World Championships of Amateur MMA on both 2018 and 2019. 

IMMAF President Kerrith Brown signed the contracts for the 2018 & 2019 IMMAF World Championships in the Kingdom of Bahrain during the press conference held at Rotana Hotel. 

The 2018 and 2019 World Championships of Amateur MMA will be a part of the Brave International Combat Week. 

The Kingdom of Bahrain is the only nation apart from the United States of America to host the IMMAF World Championships of Amateur MMA.
