Minister, personalities and organisations come down heavily on Iranian interference

Information Affairs Minister Isa bin Abdulrahman Al Hammadi rejected continuous blatant Iranian interference in the internal affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain yesterday.
“Promoting politicised and sectarian-tainted religious discourse is a losing bet”, he tweeted. “Sincere national stances should be steadfast and firm and say “NO” to flagrant Iranian interference in Bahrain’s internal affairs,” he added.
Hashtag: (#No to Iranian_interference#Bahrain) attracted a massive following as Bahrainis, as well as their friends, interacted with the wide-ranging condemnation of the Iranian leadership’s provocative statements against Bahrain’s sovereignty.
Al-Sada Tribe
Al-Sada Tribe denounced the Iranian officials’ provocative statements, which aim to incite on unrest and fuel tensions, in breach of the principles of good neighbourliness, international norms and covenants and the UN and Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) charters.
“Al-Sada tribe stands united, rallying behind Bahrain’s wise leadership - led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier,” said media figure Fayez Al-Sada. “Al-Sada tribe fully backs the Interior Minister’s statement which reflects his patriotic mettle.”
Almoayyed Family
The Almoayyed family slammed the Iranian interference, which trespassed on covenants and treaties of good neighbourliness and respect of the state independence and sovereignty.
In a statement, Farouq Youssef Almoayyed commended the statement made by the Interior Minister on Thursday and reiterated their allegiance to the wise leadership. They asserted their dedication to protect Bahrain against any conspiracies.
National unity urged
Leading businessman Mohammed Abbas Biljeek denounced blatant Iranian interference in Bahrain’s sovereign internal affairs, stressing the need to stand united and rally behind the leadership of His Majesty the King, His Royal Highness the Premier and HRH the Crown Prince.
“The Iranian flagrant interference represents an unacceptable trespass on national sovereignty, which resulted in a spate of terror acts perpetrated by dormant cells in Bahrain”, he said, adding that the Iranian meddlesome policies flout international norms and conventions.
Violation of global norms
Secretary-General of the Shura Council Abdul Jalil Ibrahim Al-Tareef stressed that Iran’s interference contravenes the principles of good neighbourliness and violates international norms and conventions, creates an atmosphere of tension and destabilises the region.
He valued highly the Bahraini people’s unanimous condemnation of Iran’s repeated interference, expressing confidence that all segments and sects of Bahrain will rally behind the leadership.
Bahrain fortified: MP
Member of the Representatives Council’s Foreign Affairs, Defence and National Security MP Abdulrahman Rashid Bu-Majid has denounced all forms of Iran’s interference into the kingdom’s internal affairs. He called for GCC, Arab and Islamic parliamentary stances at all regional and international gathering to deter Iran and put an end to its threats against the security, sovereignty and independence of Bahrain. “Bahrain is fortified against Iran’s plots,” he commented.
MP Bu Majid called upon the UN Security Council and the relevant international organisations to monitor Iran’s commitment to the terms of the nuclear deal.
‘Iran behind chaos in the region’
Member of the Shura Council Dheya Al-Musawi opined that Iran’s interference was endless, noting that the Iranians were crisis-mongers, who sell slogans and make lies to brainwash people. “Iran is behind the destruction and chaos in Yemen, Lebanon and Iraq for the sake of reviving their dead empire.”
He said the Iranians did not care about the repercussions of their “plastic” rhetoric on the region’s security. “Their allegations are meant to cover the falsehood of the slogans through which they had misled people such as the “Great Satan” doctrine which was exposed by the recent nuclear deal,” he said.
Bahrain Jurists Society
Bahrain Jurists Society (BJS) described the hostile stances by Iran as a flagrant interference in the Kingdom’s internal affairs and a trespass on international norms. In a statement, BJS urged a strong unified national stance to put an end to flagrant Iranian interference in Bahrain’s internal affairs. “Neither Khamenei nor any other official from the Iranian regime is a guardian of the people of Bahrain who will remain loyal forever to its wise leadership”, it said.
Sunni Endowments
The Board of Directors and all affiliates of the Sunni Endowments Directorate have strongly condemned all forms of Iran’s interference into Bahrain’s domestic affairs, citing the recent “irresponsible” statements made by Ali Khaminei.
The directorate stressed that such statements do no serve regional security and stability, create an atmosphere of tension, and spark sedition and hatred among countries and people of the region.
