Al Selwady to face Leary in Jordan

ManamaAbdul Kareem Al-Selwady is confirmed to face Charlie Leary in Jordan at Brave 10: The Kingdom Rises on March 2nd, at the Prince Hamzah Sports Hall in Amman. 

Al-Selwady has eight victories out of his nine appearances while Charlie Leary who is a veteran in England has been victorious fourteen times out of his twenty two appearances. 

Charlie made an impressive comeback against Daniele Scatizzi from Straight Blast Gym Ireland at Brave 9: The Kingdom of Champions. 

The multi-title winner from England made his ambitions for a rematch against Ottman Azaitar eyeing at the lightweight championship at Brave Combat Federation. 

Al-Selwady felt that Leary was trying to jump the line and challenged for a bout which Leary had accepted. Abdul Kareem Al-Selwady who trains at Fortis MMA, promised that he will finish Da Silva and make him bleed at Brave 9. 

The fight ended as a TKO due to a doctor stoppage. The doctor had to intervene at the end of the second round and stop the fight due to a cut suffered by Da Silva. 

The fight will be intriguing since this will be for the first time a Jordanian fighter challenging a multi-title winning British fighter in Jordanian soil. Abdul-Kareem commands a vast fan following in Jordan due to his actions inside and outside the cage. 

Recently Abdul Kareem was in International news for his involvement in anti-bullying campaigns and for being vocal about restoring peace in Palestine. 

Currently riding a 4 fight win streak and undefeated at Brave, Al-Selwady will face a strong adversary at Jordan soil in front of his friends, family and fans.
