Leadership congratulated on athletes' historic achievements

 The Supreme Council of Youth abd Sport (SCYS) First Deputy Chairman and the Bahrain Athletics Association President His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa has extended congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Prime Minister His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, and the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, on the Bahraini team’s winning of two medals - one gold, one silver, at the IAAF World Youth Championships, Cali 2015, which concluded recently.

 Shaikh Khalid also congratulated HM the King’s Personal Representative for Charity Work and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the SCYS and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa for the historic achievement.

 He asserted that the unprecedented world achievement was the fruitful outcome of the support of the leadership and Shaikh Nasser for the youth and sport movement, in general, and athletics, in particular.

 Salwa Eid Nasser has expressed pride in winning the gold medal. She credited the First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport, the President of the Bahrain Athletics Association (BAA) His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa for the milestone achievement, noting that BAA’s support has enabled her to clinch the gold medal and break the world record.
