Vandals attack restaurant

Five Asian nationals broke into a restaurant in Gudaibiya on Sanday and caused major damages, besides injuring three employees.
The vandals carried planks as they entered Al Wasmiya Restaurant and indiscriminately smashed everything within their reach.
The owner of the restaurant claimed that three of the attackers were former employees there. He alleged they were sent by his partner in a jointly owned company due to a dispute between them.
"I identified three of the assailants because used to work here. My partner in a jointly-owned company apparently sent them to vandalise my restaurant. We had differences of opinions regarding some issues," he said.
"While leaving the restaurant after the attack, they threatened the employees not to open the restaurant if they did not want to get harmed," he added.
The owner said he had already filed a complaint against them. "Our customers' safety is a concern to us, and we are afraid next time they would be targeted," he said.
