HM King Hamad’s Initiatives Praised for Advancing Global Tolerance

MANAMA: Bahrain has reiterated its steadfast commitment to advancing peace, coexistence, and human values, in line with the vision of His Majesty Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the directives of His Royal Highness Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa.

His Excellency Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Coexistence, said Bahrain continues to strengthen its global role in promoting tolerance, dialogue, and international cooperation through initiatives inspired by the Kingdom’s leadership.

Speaking on the occasion of the International Day of Conscience, he said the global conscience is being severely tested amid escalating regional tensions, referring to Iranian attacks targeting civilians and vital infrastructure. He said such actions constitute a clear violation of international law and principles of good neighbourliness.

He urged the international community to fulfil its legal and moral obligations by implementing UN Security Council Resolution 2817 and working toward an immediate cessation of these attacks, which he warned threaten both regional stability and global peace.

Dr. Sheikh Abdullah highlighted Bahrain’s long-standing approach under the leadership of His Majesty the King, noting that the Kingdom has moved beyond humanitarian support to actively foster international solidarity.
