Majeed Milad to be held In custody till Aug 4

Majeed Milad of Al Wefaa Islamic Society was ordered to be kept in police custody until August 4, pending trial.
He is accused of inciting others to break the law, but he pleaded not guilty yesterday before the Lower Criminal Court.
Milad was held after he conducted a political symposium in which, he allegedly urged the attendees to violate the public demonstration laws.
The accused was the head of the Capital Municipal Council for eight years till 2014 when it was scrapped.
The Capital Prosecution said in a statement earlier the accused was questioned following a complaint against him.
"The accused was questioned and confronted with a recording of his remarks before being ordered to be remanded in police custody," the statement read, without identifying him by his name.
"The defendant was accused of instigating others to break the law," the Public Prosecution concluded in the statement.
