Meanwhile, reports confirmed that the highest temperature recorded this year was reported on Thursday (47.4 degrees Celsius).

A source in the Meteorological Directorate at the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications told Al Ayam daily that the Kingdom has been affected by northeasterly winds since the beginning of July, resulting in noticeable rise in temperatures and humidity percentages.

According to the report, the second highest temperature recorded this summer was reported on July 3 at Bahrain International Airport (46 degrees Celsius).

This comes while the regular temperatures in the month of July are usually reported between 30–38 degrees Celsius.
