Bani Jamra rioters Detention extended

The High Criminal Court extended the detention period of two accused in connection with taking part in illegal protests and possessing firebombs by 30 days.
The accused were reportedly involved in a riot that broke out in the village of Bani Jamra, where a number of saboteurs scattered blockades across the roads and attacked police officers with Molotov cocktails.
Twelve suspects are also implicated in the case, but only two appeared before the High Criminal Court, facing riot-related charges. Prosecutors said the 12 accused are embroiled in constructing firebombs, which were used in the riot.
