Bahrain Indians register victory in BCL league

Manama : Bahrain Indians beat Zayani Motors by 34 runs in the Sprite sponsored BCL Diamond Knockout League at the Busaiteen Grounds in Muharraq.

Batting first, Bahrain Indians scored 171 for eight in 20 overs with Libi (86 off 40 deliveries, 3x4, 9x6) top scoring with good support from Siva (25) with Imran (three for 30) and Pramod (two for 20) sharing most of the wickets that fell.

Zayani Motors in reply were restricted to 137 for eight despite a fine effort by Waziq (72) as Siva (two for six) returned fine bowling figures.

In another match, Central Café crushed NDC Bahrain by 81 runs after scoring a massive 229 for five in its 20 overs with an unbeaten knock by opener Suraj (146 off 70, 11x4, 10x6) smashed his side to victory with good support from Pranesh (39) as Praveen (two for 29) returned the best bowling figures. NDC Bahrain in reply finished on 148 for nine with the only resistance from Karthick (29).
