The management and staff of Bahrain International Karting Circuit (BIKC) would like to wish everyone a very joyful and prosperous New Year! The racing never stops at BIKC, so what better way to start the New Year than to get suited up and race alongside some of the Kingdom of Bahrain’s most talented karters.

Coming up this Friday is the next edition of the Bahrain Karting Sprint Championship, featuring round five of the Bahrain SWS Sprint Championship and round three of the Bahrain Rotax Mojo Max Challenge.

All those hungry for a taste of some heated competition are invited to compete in the SWS sprints. This arrive-and-drive championship is open to all those aged 15 and above, both men and women of whatever nationality or skill level. Simply come to BIKC at the scheduled time, register and pay the fees, and take part in some of the most thrilling karting races in the entire Middle East.

For those Rotax racing enthusiasts, you are invited to battle it out in Bahrain Rotax Mojo Max Challenge. This is one of the most highly competitive series in the national scene, and things are about to get even more exciting with an expanded field of new drivers set to join this coming meeting in both the Junior Max, Senior Max, and the newly introduced Max Masters classes. Opportunities are available for non-kart owners to participate in the rounds through our Arrive-and-Race programs. FIFTH AL-BASTA MARKET

The fifth edition of the Al-Basta Market is open at Bahrain International Circuit (BIC), with the participation of the Bahraini music which perform folklore songs. The market’s area is increased this year to pave the way for recreational family activities and child games. This year’s edition aims to consolidate Bahrain’s cultural iden- tity through the focus on theatrical shows that will bring to life Bahrain’s traditions. Organised by the Southern Governorate, the Al-Basta Market provides a platform for vendors from individual, productive families, micro and small enterprises as well as farm- ers from Bahrain’s governorates to display their products. AlBasta 5 will continue on a weekly basis on Friday and Saturday until February 11, 2017. It will open from 3:00pm to 9:00pm.
