TRA holds board meeting
Manama : The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority’s (TRA) Board of Directors held their second meeting this year at TRA’s headquarters in the Seef District.
During the meeting, board members discussed key issues related to the development of telecommunications sector in Bahrain.
The members expressed their support and appreciation for the completion of the fourth National Telecommunications Plan and the Government’s approval of the plan praising TRA’s continuous cooperation and support to the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications in developing the plan for the benefit of the telecommunication sector in the Kingdom.
The board also discussed the status of telecommunication masts in the Kingdom, praising the significant efforts made by TRA to address the issue of masts through its constant cooperation with the government entities and the operators. The moves follows a Cabinet Decision requiring the authority to enforce the provisions of the regulation concerning Public Radio communications Stations. Members of the board expressed their keen support and satisfaction with the progress of the telecommunications sector in the Kingdom and stressed that they are looking forward to witness further developments in future.
