Six Bahraini arsonists jailed
Manama : The High Criminal Court has upheld the sentences issued against six arsonists implicated in burning a vehicle in 2013.
The Bahrainis are said to have set the car on fire near a road close to the Bahrain International Circuit during the F1 race.
Prosecutors said that they have also placed a hoax bomb near the vehicle.
The first defendant told prosecutors that he had agreed with his co-defendants to commit the crime, stating that he was the one who brought the car from a scrap yard.
“I hid it in a remote place. And on the day of the incident we brought it and set it on fire,” he said.
He told prosecutors that he was receiving orders from the terrorist group called the 14 February Coalition.
