averda reports 1000 job vacancies

Manama: Leading waste management provider, averda, yesterday announced the launch of its recruitment drive for up to 1000 employees in Bahrain.

According to the company, the search for Bahrain workforce will be launched today with recruitment for management and supervisory roles commencing on
April 10.

Applications could be downloaded from the company’s LinkedIn page: https://www.linkedin.com/company/averda in the next two weeks. Vacancies include that for warehouse, human resources, procurement, accounting, technical and operations.

Successful applicants will be invited for appraisal at averda’s specialist assessment centre, which is currently being set up in Manama.  In addition, averda will also be recruiting locally for drivers, administrators, mechanics and manual labourers.

According to averda, the initiative is in line with the company’s five year agreement to supply waste management services for Muharraq and Manama starting July, as per the deal signed with the Ministry of Works, Municipalities and Urban Planning in December 2015.

Commenting on the move, averda’s Marketing Director, Philippa Charlton said, “As a company we have always championed local employment and in line with this approach, we will particularly welcome applications from
Bahraini nationals for these roles.  We are also keen to give priority to employees of the current waste provider.” “We take great pride in our work and want to make sure that Muharraq and Manama receive the highest quality waste management services.  Part of that is ensuring that we have employees who have the right skill-sets and are committed to the community.
This is a very exciting contract for averda and
we are very much looking forward to taking this forward to benefit  the people of Bahrain,” he added.
