As India marks its Republic Day, a celebration of democracy, resilience and nation-building, Bahrain Financing Company (BFC) joins the Indian diaspora in Bahrain in honouring a relationship built on trust, continuity, and shared progress.
Founded in 1917, BFC’s journey has evolved alongside generations of Indians who made Bahrain their home. From its beginnings as a gold bullion trader to becoming one of the Kingdom’s most respected names in foreign exchange and international remittances, BFC has always remained people centric. For decades, Indian expatriates have relied on BFC not just to send money, but to stay connected to families, aspirations and futures back home.
BFC branches have long been familiar touchpoints within the Indian community, supporting first salaries, education goals, home building dreams and life’s milestones across borders. The enduring trust and contribution of the Indian diaspora have been central to shaping BFC’s values and customer focused approach. Reflecting on the occasion, Deepak Nair, Chief Executive Officer of BFC, said, “Republic Day is not only a celebration of India’s Constitution, but a tribute to the spirit, resilience and values of the Indian people. For decades, the Indian community has placed its trust in BFC; trust that has shaped our journey and defined who we are today. As India continues to progress, we remain committed to supporting the aspirations of the Indian diaspora and strengthening the enduring ties between Bahrain and India.”
Today, BFC operates 55 branches across Bahrain and facilitates remittances to over 200 countries worldwide, with India remaining one of its most significant corridors. A pioneer in online money transfers, BFC continues to enhance convenience through the BFC Pay App, enabling fast and secure transactions supported by a global payout network of over 400,000 locations.
As India celebrates Republic Day, BFC honours not only the values enshrined in the Constitution, but also the people who carry those values across borders, reaffirming a lasting partnership that continues to connect Bahrain and India.
