Bahrain will welcome two of the world’s most celebrated distance runners when the Bahrain Olympic Committee hosts the “Run with Legends” event later this month, bringing Olympic champion Derartu Tulu and world record holder Gudaf Tsegaye to the Kingdom in a rare sporting exchange.
The initiative, organised in collaboration with Enat Events and Bahrain Road Runners, aims to connect Bahraini athletes, young talents and running enthusiasts with global athletics icons through a community run and interactive sessions focused on performance, resilience and elite sporting experience.
Organisers said the event reflects Bahrain’s growing ambition to strengthen its sporting culture and promote international engagement in athletics.
Scheduled for January 30 at The Avenues in Manama, the event will feature a 5km community run alongside meet-and-greet activities, highlighting the Bahrain Olympic Committee’s commitment to fostering a “sport for all” culture and positioning the Kingdom as a platform for global sporting inspiration and knowledge-sharing
