BIC to host Burnout Ramadan festival

Manama

Bahrain International Circuit (BIC), will this Ramadan host four spectacular rounds of burnout with competitors and motorsport enthusiasts from across the Gulf expected to flock to Sakhir for this widely popular event, which is organised by BIC each year during the holy month.
This year’s Burnout Ramadan Festival is scheduled to get underway on June 19 with the first round of action. Round two follows on June 26, and the third and fourth take place on July 3 and July 10, respectively.
Fans will get a small taste of what to expect over the next two weeks as BIC will be holding burnout testing in Sakhir.
The first test takes place tomorrow and will be followed next weekend on June 12 with the second to set the stage for the competition proper.
Open to motorsport enthusiasts of all skill levels, the Festival offers the public a unique kind of thrill. Participants will battle it out with one another with the aim of putting on the finest show of rising white smoke and burning rubber while gracefully maneouvring a pre-determined course.
Friday’s testing will be held between 7pm and 10pm at BIC’s car park number six with registration starting from 6pm.
Entrants must meet specific eligibility criteria to take part and pay an entry fee of BD7 per driver. Those wishing to get a taste of all of the action as passengers may do so for an additional fee of BD2.
Spectators will be able to watch all the action on each round for free, however, there will also be a VIP area from where fans can enjoy the action from a special stand. Entrance and parking at the VIP area is BD10 per car.
