Social media discusses tied monkey’s photo
Manama: A monkey was reportedly found in a street in Sanad tied with a chain to a piece of concrete block yesterday. The picture of the monkey grabbed the attention of social media users as a resident posted it on a Bahraini Facebook group.
The monkey was apparently left there by a shopkeeper, who intended to sell the animal.
“I saw a Monkey, yes, a monkey in the market today tied with a chain. Asked the shopkeeper, he started laughing. Can something be done? Do u know whom to contact? The shop is in Sanad very close to Isa town health centre,” the resident stated in the Facebook post.
“When I questioned him of what he is doing out there, he asked me if I wanted to buy him,” she added.
