Kindergarten gets green signal from Edu Ministry
Manama: A local kindergarten that was suspended last month resumed classes yesterday as per the instruction of the concerned authorities.
The decision to resume classes at Kul Al Atfal Kindergarten Abuasheera area, close to Zinj, was announced yesterday by Education Ministry after it suspended the institution on January 18 for violating safety and security conditions.
The institution, which apparently consisted of dilapidated walls, was given a 10-day period by the authorities to rectify the violations before it was suspended.
The Ministry said yesterday that all violations were rectified by the kindergarten’s administration. It mentioned that several violations that were previously pointed out were also rectified.
The violations included dilapidated walls inside the kindergarten, sharing a ramshackle wall with a nearby abandoned land that contains building materials and consumed electric extensions, using a nearby land as a warehouse and not a playground as mentioned in the institution’s plan and consisting of bare electrical extensions on the walls inside the kindergarten.
“The resumption of classes’ decision was taken following a visit by a specialised team from the Ministry. The team assured that all violations were removed and the institution was fit to receive children again,” the Ministry added.
