Bahrain, European Parliament Discuss Cooperation on Coexistence and Dialogue
Ali Abdulla Al Aradi, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the King Hamad Global Centre for Coexistence and Tolerance, received a delegation from the European Parliament headed by Reinhold Lopatka, Chair of the European Parliament’s Delegation for Relations with the Arab Peninsula.
The meeting was attended by Muneera Nofal Al Doseri, Executive Director of the Centre.
Al Aradi highlighted Bahrain’s efforts to promote coexistence, tolerance and interfaith and intercultural dialogue, reflecting the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
The meeting also reviewed the Centre’s programmes, initiatives and regional and international partnerships aimed at promoting dialogue, mutual understanding and a culture of peace and respect.
The two sides exchanged views on issues of mutual interest and discussed ways to strengthen cooperation in relevant areas.
The European Parliament delegation expressed appreciation for Bahrain’s efforts and the Centre’s initiatives in promoting coexistence, openness and dialogue, while commending the programmes and initiatives presented during the meeting.
