Shared Heritage Drives Tourism

Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa received GCC tourism ministers and heads of delegations attending the 10th meeting of the GCC Ministerial Committee responsible for tourism in Bahrain,

The meeting was held as part of Bahrain’s presidency of the 46th session of the GCC Supreme Council, known as the Bahrain Summit. Fatima bint Jaafar Al Sairafi, Minister of Tourism, also attended the meeting.

The participating ministers and heads of delegations conveyed the greetings of Their Majesties and Highnesses the GCC leaders to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

Shaikh Khalid, in turn, conveyed the greetings of His Majesty the King and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister to the GCC leaders.

The Deputy Prime Minister affirmed that Bahrain, under the leadership of His Majesty the King and the directives of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, considers security a fundamental pillar of development across all sectors.

He said the security, stability and prosperity enjoyed by GCC countries, supported by their leaders' visions, have strengthened the region’s position as an attractive destination for family tourism from around the world.

Shaikh Khalid also stressed that the GCC countries’ shared values and heritage provide a strong foundation for advancing tourism integration and cooperation.

He noted that greater cooperation would strengthen the region’s ability to respond to challenges with flexibility and efficiency, while supporting economic diversification and contributing to broader development goals.
