Moroccan Leader Congratulated

HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of HM the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women, sent congratulations to Fatima Zahra Mansouri following her appointment as Head of Government of Morocco.

Princess Sabeeka described the appointment as a historic milestone, making Mansouri the first woman to hold the position in Morocco. She said it reflects the capabilities and achievements of Moroccan women and represents an important development in advancing Arab women in decision-making roles.

Labour Awards Extended

The Ministry of Labour has extended the deadline for private-sector establishments to nominate outstanding workers for its 41st annual awards ceremony until October 8, 2026.

Held under the patronage of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the ceremony will honour distinguished Bahraini workers. Nominations can be submitted through the Ministry of Labour website, while enquiries are available on 17873819, 17873873 or 17873858, or recognition@mol.gov.bh.

Universities Climb Rankings

Bahrain’s higher education sector has recorded progress in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2027, with three universities achieving notable results.

Ahlia University entered the rankings for the first time and became the first private university in Bahrain to place among the world’s top 300. The University of Bahrain rose 285 places to the 801–1,000 range, while Arabian Gulf University moved up 19 places to the 401–450 range.
