HH Shaikh Khalid Praises Gadeha Camp Sponsorship

His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), Chairman of the General Sports Authority (GSA) and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), commended the Royal University for Women's gold sponsorship of the Gadeha Junior Camp.

HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad said the university’s support reflects the complementary role of community institutions in backing national initiatives focused on developing young people and equipping them with leadership and life skills.

His Highness highlighted the Royal University for Women's role as a leading academic institution and its contribution to education and the development of Bahraini professionals.

He stressed that developing young people’s capabilities is a shared responsibility, noting that the partnership demonstrates the importance of cooperation between educational institutions and national initiatives in preparing a generation capable of leadership and contributing to the future.

HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad also said the sponsorship supports the camp’s efforts to promote continuous learning and ambition among participants, while developing self-confidence, initiative and the ability to overcome challenges. He expressed appreciation for the university’s partnership and its contribution to the camp’s success.

For his part, Professor Riyad Yousif Hamzah, President of the Royal University for Women, said the university’s support for the Gadeha Junior Camp reflects its commitment to community service and investment in young people from an early age through initiatives combining education, training and personal development.

He said the camp provides a national platform for developing young people, stressing the importance of educational and training environments that foster creative thinking, encourage initiative and teamwork, and instil values of responsibility and excellence.
