Gulf Air Set to Connect Bahrain and Malaysia with New Routes Ahead of FORMULA 1
Gulf Air, the national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain and title sponsor of the FORMULA 1 GULF AIR BAHRAIN GRAND PRIX, announced that it welcomes the confirmation by Formula 1 and the FIA that the 2026 Bahrain Grand Prix will be hosted at the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia, from 2–4 October.
On this occasion, Gulf Air announced its intention to introduce direct flights to Kuala Lumpur, further strengthening air connectivity between the Kingdom of Bahrain and Malaysia while offering motorsports fans and passengers a seamless gateway to the excitement of the 2026 FORMULA 1 GULF AIR BAHRAIN GRAND PRIX.
The airline’s partnership with Formula 1 dates back to the first Grand Prix in the Arabian Gulf region in 2004, reflecting the strength and continuity of that relationship. As title sponsor of the race, Gulf Air remains proud to stand behind the event and bring the Kingdom of Bahrain’s hospitality to Malaysia.
