Budaiya farmers’ market allegations denied
The fourth edition of the farmers’ market will continue till the end of April, said Undersecretary for Agriculture and Marine Resources Shaikh Khalifa bin Isa Al-Khalifa.
He issued a statement denying local media news, which alleged that the suq has come to an end, stressing the need to ensure accuracy and obtain information from their sources.
He underlined the importance of the market which provides a location for farmers to promote their agricultural products directly to visitors.
The Undersecretary said that the farmers’ market will continue to open every Saturday, from 8 AM till noon until the end of April. Thirty-four Bahraini farmers are taking part, showcasing their varied fresh products.
