Bahrain Interior Minister Receives Former UK Minister for Middle East and North Africa

General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior, received Lord Tariq Ahmad, former United Kingdom Minister of State for the Middle East and North Africa, to discuss bilateral cooperation and regional security developments. The meeting was attended by Lieutenant General Tariq bin Hassan Al Hassan, Chief of Police.

During the meeting, Shaikh Rashid highlighted that the security and stability enjoyed by the Kingdom of Bahrain are the result of the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, whose vision has strengthened the nation and enhanced its defence and security capabilities.

He noted that these efforts have enabled Bahrain to reinforce its preparedness and respond to emergencies with efficiency and professionalism, further strengthening its ability to safeguard national security and maintain stability.

The Interior Minister also praised the integrated measures implemented by the government under the leadership of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. He said the government's comprehensive approach, focused on strengthening national readiness and coordinating efforts across institutions, has helped Bahrain effectively address current challenges.

Shaikh Rashid commended the longstanding strategic partnership between Bahrain and the United Kingdom, expressing appreciation for continued efforts to deepen bilateral cooperation in ways that serve the shared interests of both countries.

The meeting also reviewed opportunities to enhance cooperation and coordination in addressing security challenges, exchanging expertise, and supporting regional stability. Both sides also discussed the latest regional developments.
