Four men get 10 years for attacking ex-MP’s vehicle
Four defendants accused of attacking the vehicle of a former MP has been sentenced to 10 years behind bars. The four men reportedly carried out a firebomb assault against Mohammed Khalid’s vehicle on August 3 two years ago.
The total number of the attackers was 25, according to court files, but detectives uncovered the identity of only four.
It’s said that the culprits set tyres ablaze in the area of A’ali before pelting the former MP’s car with firebombs while he was passing by the area.
One of the defendants confirmed his involvement in the incident during interrogation, and revealed that his three co-defendants were also involved in it.
The Public Prosecution charged the four defendants with putting lives and properties at risk, participating in an illegal gathering, possessing firebombs and damaging the car of the former MP.
