Bahrain recorded its highest number of non-Bahraini arrivals in nine years in 2025, with approximately 16.04 million travellers entering the kingdom, according to newly released statistics.
The figures underline continued growth in Bahrain’s travel and tourism sector, reinforcing the country’s position as a regional destination attracting visitors throughout the year.
Data showed that the number of non-Bahraini arrivals increased from 11.38 million in 2022 to 16.04 million in 2025 — a rise of around 4.66 million travellers in just three years. The latest figures suggest that Bahrain’s travel market has moved beyond the rapid recovery phase seen after the pandemic and entered a period of more stable and sustainable growth.
Compared with 2024, arrivals in 2025 increased by around 334,000 travellers, marking annual growth of 2.1%. The total was also nearly 1.92 million higher than in 2023, representing an increase of 13.6%.
Statistics indicated that the second quarter of 2025 made the strongest contribution to annual growth. Around 4.13 million travellers arrived during the period, compared with 3.93 million in the second quarter of 2024 — an increase of more than 201,000 arrivals, or 5.1%.
The rise was driven by tourism activity, regional travel movement, public holidays and seasonal events, according to the data.
January recorded the highest monthly arrivals of the year, with 1.54 million travellers entering Bahrain. May followed with 1.45 million arrivals, ahead of August with 1.44 million and November with 1.42 million.
The consistently high monthly figures reflect the breadth of Bahrain’s tourism activity and the kingdom’s ability to attract visitors across multiple seasons during the year.
