Bahrain joins FAO regional agriculture conference

Bahrain’s Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture, Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak, took part in the 38th session of the Near East and North Africa Regional Conference organized by United Arab Emirates in cooperation with the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).
The conference was held in a hybrid virtual format and brought together ministers, senior officials, and representatives of international and regional organizations, as well as stakeholders involved in the agricultural sector across the region. Bahrain was also represented by Agriculture and Animal Resources Affairs Undersecretary Asim Abdulatif Abdullah.
Participants reviewed progress made in FAO programmes during the 2024–2025 period and discussed priorities for the next phase. Key areas of focus included advancing sustainable agricultural development, adapting to climate change, strengthening food supply chains, and promoting innovation and financing within the sector.
