Speaker Meets German Delegation on Sidelines of IPU Assembly
Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives and Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Parliamentary Division, met a parliamentary delegation from Germany on the sidelines of the Inter-Parliamentary Union Assembly in Istanbul.
The delegation was headed by Alexander Radwan, a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee and the parliamentary group for relations with the Middle East and North Africa in the Bundestag.
During the meeting, the Speaker reiterated Bahrain’s condemnation and rejection of the Iranian attacks targeting the Bahrain, Gulf Cooperation Council countries, and the Jordan.
He noted that Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates had submitted an emergency item to the IPU General Assembly condemning the attacks, based on relevant United Nations resolutions.
For their part, the German delegation expressed their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and enhancing parliamentary coordination and cooperation in support of shared interests.
