Public Prosecution Warns Against Sharing Images of Attack Incidents
Calls for Compliance with Official Instructions to Avoid Criminal Liability
Manama: The Public Prosecution has warned citizens and residents against publishing or circulating any images or footage related to the recent Iranian attacks and their aftermath, including scenes of interception operations, their locations, or security measures taken by the relevant authorities.
The Public Prosecution stressed that sharing such content could undermine national efforts to confront the attacks and may expose members of the public and the country’s security to potential risks.
It noted that publishing or distributing such images constitutes a criminal offense under the laws in force in the Kingdom, making those responsible liable to legal accountability. The warning extends to anyone involved in the dissemination of such content by any means, including those who forward or circulate it, who would be treated under the law in the same manner as the original publisher.
The Public Prosecution also called on the public to adhere strictly to the instructions and guidance issued by the relevant authorities and to act responsibly in ways that support the measures undertaken by state institutions to maintain security and social stability during these exceptional circumstances.
