HRH Crown Prince Visits Civil Defence, Emergency Centers
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today visited the General Directorate of Civil Defence and the National Center for Civil Emergency Management.
The visit comes as part of HRH’s continued oversight of the Kingdom’s preparedness in response to recent hostile Iranian aggression. The Crown Prince and Prime Minister assessed operational readiness on the ground, in line with His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s commitment to national security and the protection of citizens and residents.
HRH was received by HE General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior. During the visit, the Crown Prince was briefed on measures addressing the consequences of hostile attacks, as well as coordination among authorities to ensure swift responses and the safeguarding of lives and property.
Expressing his appreciation, HRH commended General Shaikh Rashid and all personnel at the General Directorate of Civil Defence and the National Center for Civil Emergency Management for their professionalism, dedication, and tireless efforts in maintaining security and safety. He emphasized that the welfare of citizens and residents remains the Kingdom’s top priority and reaffirmed the importance of strengthening readiness and field response efficiency.
In response, HE the Minister of Interior thanked HRH for the visit, highlighting it as a reflection of the Crown Prince’s firm commitment to national security and direct engagement in the Kingdom’s emergency preparedness efforts.
HRH was also briefed on national emergency readiness, government coordination, continuity of essential services, food and water security, energy and electricity sector efficiency, and the resilience of communications and early warning systems.
The visit was attended by HE Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, and Lieutenant General Tariq bin Hassan Al Hassan, Chief of Police.
