“Year of Isa Al-Kabeer” Celebrated with New Book Release

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, received today at Qudaibiya Palace the journalist and author Sousan Al Shaer Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of the Ruler’s Court, and His Excellency Sheikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, along with a number of senior officials.

During the meeting, the author presented His Royal Highness with a copy of her book, “Isa Al-Kabeer: Builder of the Modern State”. The book’s release coincides with the Royal Decree declaring this year as “Year of Isa Al-Kabeer”, in celebration of the founder of modern Bahrain and the nation’s renaissance leader, His Excellency Isa Al-Kabeer, and in commemoration of the Kingdom’s 25th National Action Charter anniversary.

His Royal Highness highlighted that the declaration of the “Year of Isa Al-Kabeer” reflects the keen interest of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa in honoring and preserving the legacy of national figures who played a pivotal role in strengthening the foundations, stability, and growth of the Kingdom across successive eras. He noted that Isa Al-Kabeer left a rich national heritage and a record of achievements that reinforced Bahrain’s political, economic, and cultural standing.

His Royal Highness added that the accomplishments during Isa Al-Kabeer’s era were instrumental in consolidating political and security stability and advancing the nation’s development and prosperity. He emphasized that the founder’s efforts and sacrifices in building the modern state and safeguarding its sovereignty deserve comprehensive documentation that reflects their historical significance.

During the meeting, Sousan Al Shaer briefed His Royal Highness on the book, which highlights Isa Al-Kabeer’s biography, his role in establishing the modern state, and the key achievements of his reign. His Royal Highness expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the author for her efforts in producing this valuable work, also recognizing the contributions of all those involved in its preparation and publication.
